Wow, July's almost ending already? It seems to have gone by way too fast.
I'm working an actual 9-5 "part time" job, but it doesn't seem to be that difficult, just time consuming web searches. I like it. It's pretty lax at the office. It's pretty quiet so I listen to music. I broke my headphones. Left earbud died first this time. All the other times I've managed to break the right side first. As long as I get my job done, right? That (work) and taking the bus (yay for public transportation) takes about thirty minutes each way, but adding wait/walking time it adds up to an hour. Basically I'm just saving money from parking and gas for $1.75 bus fare each way, time, and being creeped out by weird people on the bus.
I'm usually not creeped out by "weird" people, but things like people that just happen to follow the route you walk home and people that try to ask your name and keep talking to you are not common. I thought I was being cautious with the being followed. I sped up and made sure I turned quickly and didn't see him, but as I got into my car to go somewhere I saw them round the corner. Perhaps he was just a neighbor, but you never know. Maybe it's just paranoia, maybe it's me being on edge, but darnit, some people on the bus scare me more than most. And it's not like I want to go out of my way to take different buses back. When people follow you, it's not like you want to kill them off by walking 3 left/right turns in a row; no, you just want to get to your destination ASAP.
I think the "safest" seats on a bus are in the middle, right by the exit, but still facing the front. Too far back and you get the sleepers and some loud conversationists near the face-to-face seating area. Too close in the front you risk the chance of getting moved because there are disabled people and you get the people that talk to the bus driver every day or the ones who seem like they're in a rush to leave and don't read the signs that say exit using the rear door rather than the front door.
I've basically have developed a habit around working times, but it always seems like I'm in a mindset where it's a rush to get to the next place or do the next thing. The day just seems to repeat itself and all I do is press the off button on the alarm. I can't wait until I get to travel... which is going to happen eventually, but as usual it's going to be left undecided until the last minute.
